Venue
The IIRA European Congress 2010 will be held at the city campus of the University of Copenhagen, Øster Farimagsgade 5, 1014 Copenhagen K, Denmark. The Registration Desk is in building 34.
The city campus is home to the Centre for Health and Social Studies (CSS). Libraries, lecture halls, offices etc. are mainly located in historical buildings, but also a newer architect designed glass auditorium can be found on campus - here much of the congress will take place. The many green areas between the buildings provide a pleasant setting for both students and university staff.
The University of Copenhagen is the oldest university in Denmark - founded in 1479. With over 37,000 students and more than 7,000 employees, the University of Copenhagen is the largest institution of research and education in Denmark.
The university is a central part of Copenhagen and most places of historical interest as well as diverse restaurants, cafes and shops are within walking distance of the congress venue.
The city was founded in 1167 and has maintained much of its original charm even today with a population of 1.7 million. The most popular form of transport in the city is a bicycle. The safe atmosphere, the low level of pollution and the many cultural events all contribute to make Copenhagen one of the most liveable cities in the world.
